Today marks 80 years since Victory in Europe Day, an anniversary that resonates deeper than ever. It’s not just a date in the calendar. It’s a legacy of courage, sacrifice, and unshakable resilience. And this year, the UK pulled out all the stops for a four-day celebration that reminded us just how much that victory still means.
The Veterans Association had the honour of being invited to No. 10 Downing Street for the Prime Minister’s VE Day Street Party. Representing our organisation at this iconic location were our CEO, John, and our Head of Business & PR, Aaron.
Standing on the steps of No.10 wasn’t just a photo op. It was a moment of reflection, pride, and responsibility. John and Aaron didn’t just attend as guests, they stood there on behalf of every veteran we support. Of every life changed through service. Of every story that still matters today.
This milestone year, marking eight decades since the end of World War II in Europe, has reignited a national spirit of remembrance and unity. While events have stretched across several days, the heart of it all is today… VE Day itself. The day we pause, look back, and recommit to never forgetting.
The presence of our team at Downing Street is a testament to the work we continue to do, supporting our veterans, advocating for their needs, and ensuring their contributions are never overlooked. It’s why we exist. And it’s why we’ll never stop.
To every veteran, past and present, thank you. Your service is the foundation of our freedom, and we honour it not just today, but every single day.
