Honouring Support: A Heartfelt Thank You to Aramark Defence Services

At The Veterans Association, we’re constantly reminded that community isn’t just built through words, it’s built through action. And we were lucky enough to witness that in full force thanks to Nicola and the brilliant team from Aramark Defence Services.
On their own time and initiative, Nicola and her colleagues joined us for a full day of volunteering… rolling up their sleeves and getting hands-on in support of our veterans. From tackling garden spaces to lending a hand with cleaning, organising, and even just offering a listening ear, their efforts went far beyond what anyone expected.
This wasn’t a tick-box exercise or a quick photo op. It was genuine. It was meaningful. And it made a real difference.
Our veterans were deeply moved by the kindness and support shown, not just in the tasks completed, but in the conversations had, the time given, and the respect shown throughout the day. For many of the individuals we support, these gestures go a long way in reminding them they’re not forgotten… that there are still people who care, who show up, and who value their service.
We’d like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Nicola and the Aramark team for bringing their energy, compassion, and work ethic to our charity. It’s volunteers like you who help make our mission possible.
