Recently, we had the privilege of welcoming a fantastic team of eight BP volunteers to the Veterans Association. They travelled from across the country, with one team member journeying all the way from Edinburgh, to give their time, effort, and energy to support our veteran community.

The focus of the day was our sensory garden, which is central to creating a peaceful, welcoming space for veterans. Thanks to the BP team, the garden was cleared, refreshed, and prepped for its next phase. Beyond the practical graft, what stood out most was the warmth and respect each volunteer showed towards our veterans. Conversations were shared, stories exchanged, and plenty of laughter filled the air, proof that sometimes the smallest moments make the biggest difference.

A special thank you goes to Neil, Nadine, Saraswati, Iren, Daris, Sue, Lisa, and Neema for giving their day to us. Your time and energy made a lasting impact.

The team also brought thoughtful donations including plant pots, a hamper, books, cakes, goodies, and a beautiful indoor plant. These finishing touches added colour and life to the garden, brightening the space for weeks to come.
Their efforts made an immediate impact, boosting the garden, lifting spirits, and strengthening the sense of community we aim to build every day. It was a day that perfectly reflected BP’s values of reliability, respect, and community mindedness.
We’re incredibly grateful to BP for their support and generosity, and we look forward to exploring future opportunities to collaborate. Partnerships like these show the power of teamwork and how businesses can make a real difference in the lives of veterans.
